Mark T. Robinson is currently CEO Citi South Asia - India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka.

He has been with Citi for over 23 years and held various leadership positions across Citi franchises globally before assuming office in India.

In his last role, Mark T. Robinson was the Citi Country Officer in Russia also headed the Bank’s operations in Kazakhstan and the Ukraine. The Citi franchise in Russia/CIS includes over 800,000 customers, 66 branches and a presence in 11 cities. Citibank was among the first international banks to enter the Russia/ CIS market when it established operations in Moscow in 1994 and now has over 3,500 employees and a balance sheet over $8 billion. Mark assumed this role in September 2004.
 
From 2002-2004 Mark was the Citi Country Officer in Turkey and also oversaw the Bank’s operations in Israel and business in eight non-presence countries in Central Asia.

Mark was based in Budapest from 1997 to 2002 where his initial assignment was as Corporate Bank Head followed by the Citi Country Officer role with responsibility for both Markets and Banking and Consumer banking.

From 1988 to 1995 Mark had various roles at Citibank New York in the lending, corporate finance and restructuring businesses. Mark was based in Hong Kong in 1995 and 1996 where he was a senior transactor in the regional Corporate Finance Unit. 

Mark joined Citibank in 1984 and his first assignment was in Pakistan from 1985 to 1987 where he was a Relationship Manager. 

Mark is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Arts and his Masters of Business Administration.
