Collaborations: Program will create a partnership model that involves Habitat for Humanity and grass root level NGO partners in reaching out to larger number of beneficiaries, otherwise not possible if either works independently.
Networking & Sector influence: Program will result in identifying, involving and building capacities of a large number of NGO partners with lending experiences to integrate housing products and housing support solutions into their community development or micro financing activities.
Societal Impact: 60,000 low income families in the country supported either to construct new houses or improve their houses though HFH India and its NGO partnerships thus enabling the families who have no home or who reside in unsafe and dilapidated temporary houses to gain access to safe and decent shelters.
Disaster Resilience: Around 90,000 families affected by various disasters in the country supported through provision of Emergency Shelter Kits (ESKs).
Improved Access to Housing: A well designed and implemented Housing Support Solutions (HSS) programme will result in increased access to housing solutions and improving the quality of construction thus speeding up the process of more families owning decent and safe homes.
Healthy Families: Greater focus on hygiene, sanitation and safe drinking water as part of the shelter programs with HFH India facilitating best practices around hygiene, sanitation and access to safe drinking water.
Clean Development Mechanisms: Appropriate energy use especially renewable energy promoted through NGOs and stakeholders.
Climate Change Adaptation: Housing methods and practices that are environment friendly and supporting climate change adaptation and mitigation identified and promoted.
Influencing Public Housing Policy: Habitat India takes a leadership role in advocating and disseminating information on the housing issues and diverse proven models of housing program.
