The Internship program of Habitat for Humanity is designed to provide current students and recent college graduates with opportunities to gain professional experience in various fields. Habitat for Humanity interns will receive a substantive learning experience that includes professional training and mentoring.

Intern candidates must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Major in the field of the internship (or related field).
- Maintain a professional appearance, be enthusiastic and strive to obtain a learning experience.
Course Credit Interns
Interns that are obtaining course credits contingent upon assignment requirements may obtain assistance from the volunteer coordinator in fulfilling those requirements.
Internship assignment schedules may vary in hours and shifts. These schedules will be determined by your Assignment Supervisor. Some assignments may include evening and weekend scheduling.

Habitat for Humanity India built its first house in the Asia Pacific region in Khammam in Andhra Pradesh. Since then Habitat for Humanity India, has built or repaired homes with 40,000 families in need. This includes serving around 14,000 families through a post – tsunami reconstruction program covering the states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Over the years, Habitat has worked in 16 states across India, through local affiliates and through Habit Resources Centres located at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai. Habitat provides its core expertise in housing so its partners can offer a more holistic approach to helping communities escape poverty. Habitat’s work in India is supported by donations from individuals, business corporations; foundations and trusts.
